Come unwind on the deck that overlooks a pond where turtles sunbathe and the occasional gator keeps an eye on things, while osprey swoop in and call from the pines overhead, and other water birds visit the pond for a snack (bring your binoculars if you like to watch them).
There are 3 well-appointed bedrooms, two kings with TVs, clock-radios and bathrooms, plus a twin bedroom with TV, clock and bath - the master has a spa tub as well.
Living room has TV, DVD player and boombox, and the sofabed sleeps two more for a total of 8.
Dining room connects to living room, both open onto the deck and the kitchen which is fully equipped with dishwasher, disposal, glass-top range, microwave, oven, granite countertops and all the appliances you'll need (including blender, crockpot and handmixer!).
Very spacious, very comfortable.
There's wireless internet, cable TV, ceiling fans, and a full laundry, too.
Two bikes are in the closet out front, which you can ride to the beach on a shady path (or walk) - about a mile.
A few
steps away are a playground, tennis and pickleball courts, a rec room with pool and ping pong tables and exercise equipment, gas grills, a swimming pool and hot spa; the sauna is a block away at a second pool and hot spa.
And 4 rounds of golf EACH DAY are included for the cost of cart rental.
The stage is set for a perfect vacation, and if your children are small, Hilton Head's is the safest beach on the east coast - no undertow, no riptide, long shallows with waves big enough to bodysurf but not too big.
We like to park the car and bike everywhere throughout the week, and this week starts Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 4pm, ends Sunday, July 21 at 10am, for $2250.
Housekeeping is included after your departure, so you'll just need to pack up and follow the check-out instructions (strip the beds, empty the fridge, take out the trash & recycling).
We'll throw in our "tips" list of our favorite places to eat and shop (thrift shopping on this island is THE BEST!) on a reasonable budget.
We've been going to Hilton Head
for over 30 years, still love it, and are happy to share our place with you since we can't go this time.
Sorry, no pets or smokers.
If you drive an EV like we do, you can plug it into the 110 outlet on the front porch.
