Purpose:
The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for obtaining technical expertise in new home construction to establish a solid foundation of the basic aspects of construction.
Assists more senior Assistant Superintendents and/or direct supervisor in performing their duties and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Complete Division and/or Assistant Superintendent orientation, onboarding and training programs (e.
g.
construction scheduling, job site rules, safety, MasterCare, SWPPP)
Develop literacy in building codes, construction and technical language, construction materials, construction schedules and construction methodologies and standards
Assist other Assistant Superintendents and/or direct supervisor in performing their duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: Monitoring job sites, validating schedule progression
Coordinating on-site inspections
Reviewing warranty requests ensuring the job is completed on time and 100%
Coordinating “punch-outs”
Update customers on construction progress
Experience/ability to use Planning Software to its utmost potential

Technical competencies:
Education: A High School diploma is required and/or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Construction or Engineering preferred.
10 hour OSHA certification is required.
30 hour OSHA certification is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience working in the residential construction industry is desirable
