*Position Overview*
The carpentry team member is an integral part of our production line.
The team sets the pace and flow for the carpentry line by ensuring product is created and delivered on schedule and on budget.
They are responsible for executing one or more positions throughout the day with a strong commitment to The Lowcountry Brand, Safety, Quality, and LEAN.
Team Members are expected to fulfill all the promises from Team Members.
This position plays a critical role in our mission _*to deliver superior value to our customers*_ by making the products, ensuring that they have the highest quality and can be delivered accurately, on-time, and intact.

*Carpentry Roles and Responsibilities*
· *Cut / Sand / General Material Prep*
- Must be able to read purchase order from QuickBooks
- Must have knowledge of basic shop math
- Quick knowledge of the various material sizes used for LCO carpentry products
- Basic understanding of how to scale a bed to various custom sizes
- Continue to gain knowledge on the cut books for each of the LCO carpentry products
- Basic understanding of all carpentry products and what is needed for various beds
- Constructing millwork bed frames, various wood trims and other specialty items.
- Setting-up and safely operating a variety of woodworking equipment (power saws, jointers and mortisers) to surface, cut, and shape lumber.
- Verifying dimensions to drawings / schematics to check the quality or fit of pieces to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Attaching parts or subassemblies together to form completed units, using glue, dowels, nails, screws, or clamps making sure that the joints are tight.
- Trimming, sanding, or scraping surfaces or joints to prepare articles for finishing.
- Boring holes for insertion of screws or dowels, by hand or using boring machines.
- Installing accents using hand tools.
- Applying your mechanical skills, precision and attention to detail to custom-craft furniture.
- Applying critical thinking / problem-solving skills to efficiently and accurately shape and assemble components from information contained in the shop drawings.
- Reading and understanding drawings and schematics.
- Regularly using a tape measure – The "Carpenter's Creed: Measure twice, and cut once.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.
00 - $18.
00 per hour
