*Summary of the position:*
The Accounting Manager performs accounting functions, assists with the administration and oversight of the entire company from accounts payable & receivable processing, owner and board financial updates, maintenance financial oversight, and general financial oversight of the company.
*Recurring administrative duties & responsibilities:*
* QuickBooks classifying of income and expenses, budgeting for corporate office financials including a variance report monthly to President.
* Prepares accounting records and reports for monthly close out - including the Amex reconciliation, the Aged Receivable report for all properties, stamp reconciliation, inventory and capital reconciliations, budget comparison reports, petty cash reconciliation, QuickBooks company invoicing.
* Prepares reconciliations for final approval monthly.
* Provides backup in the collection and processing of all deposits.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations and networking events.
* Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for a variety different request; explores opportunities to add value to our services; makes recommendations to leadership.
*Qualifications:*
* BA or BS with a focus on Accounting (or extensive related experience).
* Experience with Microsoft Office tools, QuickBooks, Appfolio (a plus).
* Must be able to communicate clearly with both internal and external customers.
* Must enjoy detailed investigation of financials.
* Experience with or education for managerial accounting (minimum 2 years) and attention to detail.
* Input data onto computer/tablets, general IT familiarity including excel and Gmail.
* Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening, clean driving record.
* Agrees to follow the Rotary 4-Way Test.
