Hospice Care of the Lowcountry (HCL) is an independent, community-based, hospice and palliative care non-profit organization, serving Beaufort and Jasper counties for more than 40 years.

Hospice Care of the Lowcountry is seeking a Registered Nurse PRN to join us.
The successful candidate will be responsible for patient care and coordination with the interdisciplinary team.
Duties include assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating actions required to meet the client’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Previous hospice case management or home health experience is a plus but not required.
We cover Beaufort county and Jasper County.
Dependable transportation is a must.

Registered Nurse
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform various medical procedures such as spinal taps and airway management
- Assist with discharge planning and patient education
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems like Athenahealth
- Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases
- Assist with esthetic laser treatments and dermal fillers in a cosmetic clinic setting
- Support the operation of an ambulatory surgery center, ensuring safe and efficient patient flow
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [location]
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 1 (One) year of nursing experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical procedures and protocols
- Excellent clinical skills and ability to provide quality patient care
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
