Duties
Responsible for management control and efficient operation of the Temporary Lodging Facilities with more than SO rooms.
Responsible for the front office, housekeeping and maintenance functions.
Conducts surveys and studies to ensure that services and facilities meet the needs, cleanliness and desire of patrons.
Implements new policies or innovative promotions that increase occupancy rate, deliver quality guest service and maintain the required level of profitability.
Develops and implements strategies/procedures to ensure safety and security of occupants.
Coordinates with counterparts in the local hotel/motel industry to arrange space at a reasonable rate for patrons when space is not available at the Lodge.
Plan, organizes work, andmanages internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies.
Prepares internal office financial plans and related records and reports,and exercises authority on approved budget.
Monitors programs on a regular basis and initiatescorrective action to ensure support of operating programs of MCCS.
Manages new property resources and may provide direction on facility renovations and improvements.
Developslong range plans in conjunction with internal operating directives and exercises internal personnelmanagement authorities as delegated by the higher-level supervisor with regard to subordinate supervisors and employees in the office.
Directly or indirectly through subordinate supervisors supervises employees.
Counsels and trains employees, schedules and directs work, appraises work performance.
Approves or disapproves leave, and personnel actions.
Must be alert to substance abuse and take appropriate action.
Effectively supports the Marine Corps Equal EmploymentOpportunity and Sexual Harassment policies, and ensures compliance with fire, safety,and other environmental issues and programs.
Maintains and enforcessecurity of funds, merchandise, supplies and equipment to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste and abuse.

Handles sensitive information that is proprietary, privileged, confidential, or otherwise legally exempt from disclosure.
Safeguards sensitive information and preventsunauthorized reading,printing, retaining, copying or dissemination of information, messages, or correspondence in accordance with rules andregulations such as those covered by the Privacy Act, S USC SS2(a), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Public Law 104-191,and DoD Directive 6025.

Notifies the higher level supervisor and sendersimmediately when personal identification information has been released and advises on how toproperly recover, and/orprotect information.

Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field appropriate to the work of the position and three years of experience in the Hospitality Industry.
Or a combination of appropriate education and experience in the hospitality field that equates to seven years.
Or 7 years of experience in the hospitality management field.
Ability to supervise employees.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of NAF policies and procedures preferred.
This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
