RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB REQUIREMENTS
Responsible to the Amentum Logistics Manager for the daily routine of researching, validating, initiating requisitions and daily correspondence/reports.
Must be capable of performing requisitioning/procuring, inventory control, storing, packaging, shipping, receiving, and cataloging required material in the support of aircraft operations.
Must have an extensive knowledge of the Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) and Support Equipment Requirements Management Information System (SERMIS).
The individual must meet the following prerequisites: Individual must possess superior qualities of personal integrity, maturity, judgment and aptitude that facilitates the accomplishment of assigned work functions and cultivation of a quality work environment.
Must be able to read and write the English language.
Must be capable of effectively communicating both verbally and in writing.
Must be capable of providing training in your specialty/qualification/certifications to other employees.
Will be capable of reading and interpreting all reports, directives, publications and manuals pertaining to your assigned responsibilities.
Be capable of performing off-site related services, when directed.
Be capable of working any shift assignment.
Be capable of working overtime, when required.
Be capable of lifting a minimum of 90 lbs.
Comply and participate with the Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Program, when directed.
Will operate standard office equipment such as: telephones, typewriters, computer terminals and other related mechanized equipment; facsimile and duplicating equipment; calculators, etc.
Will be knowledgeable in the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS/OOMA) Program and Aviation Logistics Material Management System (ALMMS) for all required user techniques and applications.
Must be able to operate stationary and portable bar code readers.
Will be required to visually inspect tools and equipment for wear or defects.
Prepare written damage reports and disposal/turn-in documentation.
Must have the ability to design, develop, document and maintain requisition logs and files, stock records and files and work accomplished records, etc.
Will be required to engrave, etch, tag or mark tools and equipment for accountability.
Must have the ability to write item descriptions for a range of new items entering the supply channels of an agency or field operation.
Must have the ability to use common hand tools and equipment to package, handle, and transport equipment, supplies and materials.
Will be required to maintain an accurate accounting and reporting system for Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) property.
Must review, interpret and analyze Activity Asset Reports in their entirety and other related Support Equipment (SE) dispositions.
Determine and recommend allowance adjustments.
Ensure all security that is applicable.
Responsible for adhering to the Tool Control Program.
Complies with established general and industrial safety rules and regulations, as applicable.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Must have four (4) years experience specializing in a DOD aviation/material control environment.
Must be familiar with DOD procedures, regulations and directives concerning logistics support and supply systems; specifically, the IMRL program as it applies to organizational/intermediate maintenance.
Must have successfully completed approved course or training as required by Company, State/Local Govt, DOD, regulation/Instruction.
Must have a valid state operators license and the ability to pass government licensing requirements.
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Physical Demands: This classification’s activities range from, an office-like environment with extensive sitting demands to a flight line-like environment with extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
Required to lift objects whose weight exceeds 50 pounds.
Special vision abilities to perform this job are close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment: The diversity of work conditions may range from an office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort to a flight line environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc.
May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail.
May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards.
