Duties
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Assists the Industrial Property Control Specialist in planning, organizing, and coordinating storage, accountability and distribution of appropriated and nonappropriated items of supply and equipment for MCCS-SC activities aboard MCRD Parris Island and MCS Beaufort.
Assists in the management, control and maintenance of records and documents that control NAF and APF items.
Controls hand receipts for NAF Property.
Tags all MCCS property in accordance with the appropriate regulations and directives.
In charge of disposing of NAF and APF property according to NAF and APF regulations.
Process receipt transactions for material being received by contract, local purchase and other means.
Coordinates and conducts the quarterly inventories, preparing all associated paperwork.
Conducts spot check inventories.
Manages the warehouses to ensure storage is in accordance with regulations.
Operates a motor vehicle in all traffic conditions.
Operates a folk lift.
Makes routine supply/property runs and picks up property from MCCS facilities and makes other trips that are essential in conduction with the operations of MCCS.
Moves furniture and other property by hand, hand truck, folk lift, or vehicle.
May be required to coordinate turn-in with Hazardous Material (Hazmat) Coordinator of hazardous wastes for all activities.
Takes action to ensure facilities are properly maintained and that wastes are handled in accordance with regulations.
Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, modifies, adjusts and overhauls, magnetic locks/electronic keying/manual locking devices used by MCCS facilities.
Responsible for the pinning, changing and maintenance of instant change locking devices.
Creates and designs MCCS key schedule.
Utilizes web based, and stand alone, key schedule database.
Maintains an adequate inventory of all key and lock parts.
Orders or submits purchase requests for parts in a timely manner.
Maintain records of work, including key and safe inventory.
Adjust and changes safe combinations and locking mechanisms when required.
Conducts research through technology publications and/or other media to keep abreast of new equipment and parts.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.
Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.
Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact.
Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems.
Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services.
Takes action to solve problems quickly.
Alerts the higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures.
Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of one year of experience that demonstrates knowledge of the governing supply/property systems, programs, policies, shipping terms, and procedures.
Knowledge of work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
Ability to operate a CRT and related office machines.
Knowledge of business mathematics.
This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
