Position / Title: Chief Financial Officer
Position reports to: CEO
Compensation: Attractive salary, ESOP participation, and other bonus/incentive opportunities

Location: Dividend Assets Capital Home Office (Bluffton, SC)
Position Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining DAC's overall financial policies, providing management and oversight for all financial functions, including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax and treasury, ensuring proper financial controls are in place and financial transactions support the overall business strategy while conforming with applicable local, state and federal compliance obligations.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a high degree of personal and professional integrity.
They must be adept at critical thinking, collaboration and multi-tasking in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
They will also value teamwork, be service-focused, and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities
• Manage the accounting, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury functions, including, but not limited to billing, payroll, audit support, and other accounting duties.
• Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team.
• Oversee and manage any third parties to which accounting or finance functions have been outsourced.
• Maintain the company's transaction processing systems and support HR in overseeing and managing employee benefits, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package.
• Oversee the issuance of financial information, report financial results, including board prep and support of Executive and ESOP Committees.
• Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile by constructing and monitoring reliable control systems.
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage and ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements, ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
• Maintain relations with external auditors and confirm and facilitate the implementation of their findings and recommendations.
• Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts, arrange for debt financing and equity financing, invest funds, maintain banking relationships.

Qualifications
10+ years of relevant industry experience.
A Bachelor's degree and CPA certification required.
Advanced degree(s) in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Series 65 or similar license is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Possess a solid grasp of accounting principles, data analysis, and financial reporting, as well as a proven ability to diagnose problems quickly and accurately required.
Experience with an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) preferred.
Excellent sales, client service and communication skills.
Detail oriented, but also able to simplify and communicate complex topics verbally and in writing.
Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively with little direction or supervision.
Proficiency with accounting applications as well as Microsoft Office.
