*Summary of Position:* Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Controller is responsible for leading the accounting operations and providing accounting-adjacent support to the Finance department.
Responsibilities include work to be performed for (i) the Company and (ii) certain affiliated entities for which the Company provides accounting services.
*Position-Specific Responsibilities:* Position-specific responsibilities of the Controller include, but are not limited to, the following.

* *Financial Record-Keeping.
*Directs the Company’s financial record-keeping including transactional (banking, credit cards, accounts receivable, accounts payable) and period-end closing (accruals, inventory adjustments, debt, etc.
) entries.
* *Financial Statements.
*Prepares, and/or directs the preparation of, financial statements and supporting analyses/schedules.
Note that this includes monthly financial statements by entity, consolidating financial statements, and adjusted financial statements to satisfy external reporting requirements.
* *GAAP Compliance.
*Maintains and enhances knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to ensure compliance from the Company and its affiliates for whom accounting services are performed.
* *Policies, Procedures, & Controls.
*Prepares, and/or directs the preparation of, policies and procedures that govern efficient accounting operations and/or mitigate financial risk, proposing and implementing internal controls where appropriate.
* *Statutory Financial Reporting.
*Completes, and/or directs the completion of, statutory financial reporting (such as monthly tax filings) and underlying schedules/analyses.
* *Systems Administration.
*Administrates the software/systems used to execute objectives for the accounting function including, but not limited to, those for accounting/GL, banking, credit cards, and payment processing.
* *Treasury Management.
* Monitors short-term cash-flow needs through informal reviews along with the implementation of recurring reporting, elevating needs/concerns as identified.
