We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Professional with a minimum of three years of experience working with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Payroll.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring accurate and timely payroll disbursements for our organization.
This role requires strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices, as well as expertise in QuickBooks software.
Responsibilities:
* Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner using QuickBooks software.
* Verify and reconcile employee time and attendance records.
* Review and validate payroll inputs, such as hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and commissions.
* Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and other authorized withholdings.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
* Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and other relevant parties.
* Address employee payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
* Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate and up-to-date employee information.
* Maintain payroll records, including employee files, tax forms, and pay statements.
* Assist in year-end payroll activities, such as W-2 and Form 1099 preparation.
* Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and communicate any necessary adjustments to the organization.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve payroll processes and systems.
Requirements:
* Minimum of three years of experience as a Payroll Professional with expertise in QuickBooks software.
* Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
* Proficient in calculating and processing payroll deductions, taxes, and benefits.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in all payroll-related activities.
* Knowledge of wage and hour laws, overtime regulations, and payroll tax compliance.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
* Ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion.
* Familiarity with HRIS systems and other payroll-related software is a plus.
* Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred but not required.
