*JOB SUMMARY*
The Sea Pines Resort is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team.
The Staff Accountant responsibilities will include accounting and financial reporting functions.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Analyze data to identify problems and/or issues and work with applicable departments and other Accounting team members to resolve.
* Review and reconcile daily business reports from resort operations.
* Prepare monthly recurring, accrual and adjusting journal entries.
* Balance and process daily credit card deposits.
Research and process credit card charge backs and any discrepancies.
* Assist in all vacation rental accounting operations of the resort.
* Assist in the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
* Assist in A/P invoice and check payment processing.
* Provide data management and analytical support for the development of the annual operating budget and forecasting process.
* Perform tasks, special projects and analysis as requested by Director of Finance and other Accounting team members.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.

*QUALIFICATIONS*
Must have computer skills and the ability to learn Accounting & Resort Point of Sales (POS) systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and detail oriented.
*REASONING ABILITY*
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
*SOCIAL SKILLS*
Ability to interact effectively with guests, members, vendors, and employees of diverse ages, backgrounds, and interests.
Applicant must be able to communicate well with others inside and outside the company and work well in a team environment.

*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE*
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and effectively handle multiple projects.
Experience in hospitality field preferred.

Valid Driver's License
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.
00 - $60,000.
